Barbara Anderson's Free Store

Re-usable belongings that have been left in abandoned or foreclosed properties are being salvaged and brought to Barbara Anderson’s store that is housed in a vacant store in Slavic Village. Barbara says, “We are helping, out instead of trashing out by re-distributing odds and ends that were headed for the landfills.” Using the discarded items to stock up her store, Barbara is able to offer them for free, nothing more. Now neighbors are able to attain the household goods they’ve needed but haven’t been able to afford.

Inner Visions of Cleveland helped by going to stores and offices that were going out of business and obtaining office furniture, storage and shelving so Barbara could have a way to display her merchandise. Inner Visions also paid unemployed Cleveland residents to transport items.
